We live in a society that conditions us to believe that love, connection & romance occur outside of ourselves. When the truth is, you came into this life with a relationship that was specifically created for you to practice true love, loyalty, compassion, forgiveness & devotion in: the one you have with yourself. However, it’s easy to get caught up in external relationships & miss the signs that there’s a need to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself. If we do this for too long we begin to lose the intimate, honest, insightful bond with ourselves where true healing, growth & evolution occur.

Cultivating a healthy relationship with yourself is a lifelong, ever-changing journey that requires energy, effort & an open heart. Remember how deserving you are your own love, care & compassion. Take your time, stay grounded & practice truly being with yourself.

Here are 6 signs that you’re in need of some ‘me, myself & I’ time to reconnect, remember the divine being that you are & reevaluate what kind of relationship you’d like to have with yourself.

1. You’ve misplaced your lens of love

The way you think, feel & speak about yourself involves harsh judgement, criticism & frustration. You struggle to see yourself through a lens of love.

2. Your life doesn’t involve any self-care

Prioritizing self-care feels like a daunting task that you aren’t making space for. Your mind, body & spirit are suffering as a result.

3. You’re consistently getting in your own way

You find yourself sabotaging the good things in your life because you don’t feel worthy of receiving them. You feel stuck, unfulfilled & stagnant as a result.

4. You’re constantly on the go & wear busy as a badge of honor

The thought of slowing down & spending time with yourself is uncomfortable.
