A message for the cycle breakers: you are who your bloodline has been waiting for, that’s why things don’t come easy for you 🤍
Now, some of you might light up when you read these words & feel honored to be the one to break toxic cycles. Others will bow their heads in exhaustion because you’ve *been* in the trenches doing shadow work. And you’re tired.
I understand and empathize with both responses.
Because the reality is that being the one who says, “This started with my family, but it ends with me.” takes a lot of courage paired with the desire to choose something different for yourself. Something better. Something more aligned with the experience your beautiful soul came to have.
Tip from a black sheep & #cyclebreaker who evolved into the #GOAT: Adopting a “what is this teaching me?” mindset & releasing any “why is this happening to me?” energy will serve you well as you navigate the soul work you’re doing in order to be free of unhealthy habits, patterns, thoughts & beliefs that no longer serve you or your lineage.
⚡️Cycle breakers…
〰Disrupt genetic imprints
〰Recognize unhealthy behavior in themselves & do the work to uproot them.
〰Learn how to know notice unhealthy familiar patterns & choose not to repeat them.
〰Takes time to learn where these cycles came from, how/why they started & how to have compassion for everyone involved.
〰Are ready to know who they are as an individual outside of a family system & release any codependence to the toxic dynamics at hand.
〰Embark on their healing journey with an open heart & mind knowing that it’s an act of love & loyalty to their family & lineage rather than betrayal, abandonment or judgement.
While this is often a lonely path, it’s also one of necessity & survival for many people who have endured trauma or abuse.
If you’re doing the work for yourself & your family, know that you’re a beacon for change that will create a ripple effect far bigger than your human mind can fathom ✨ and that your angels, ancestors & guides are incredibly proud of you for saying yes to the work that needs to be done.
Comment “it ends with me.” If you’re a cycle breaker to show how far from alone we all are in this. And if you feel called, I’d love to hear what you’ve learned about as you’ve released old patterns and embodied the power that comes with being a cycle breaker!
“Do not cringe and make yourself small if you are called the black sheep, the maverick, the lone wolf. Those with slow seeing say that a nonconformist is a blight on society. But it has been proven over the centuries, that being different means standing at the edge, that one is practically guaranteed to make an original contribution, a useful and stunning contribution to her culture.” – Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Ph.D.

It ends with me.
Releasing old patterns feels so good. Getting back into old ways… SUCKS. I am lucky to see that I am caught up in the old version of me and participating in old patterns. Crazy how a family member can suck you in. One you thought highly of. Trying to get back on track and find my way back home to the person that I created. It’s hard when the past you comes knocking.
Taylor, celebrate the level of self-awareness you have that gifted you the ability to recognize that you’re settling into old ways! That’s a big win. The past will always try and come back to test us. Trust that you will walk towards a healthy future instead of old patterns. You’ve got this, sis.
