Sitting with your shadow helps deepen the relationship you have with yourself. It opens the door & lets you see yourself as a beautiful being who’s learning with each breath. It helps us see that learning to have love & compassion for ourselves is part of our healing.
4 things to note about shadow work
1. Shadow work is a term coined by Carl Jung, a renowned Swiss psychologist from the 20th century
2. Your shadow holds delicate parts of yourself you refuse to look at, touch, or breathe into because your mind likely associates it with guilt, shame, ridicule, rejection & pain.
3. It’s the space where the darker side of your personality is suppressed aka the unconscious parts of your personality that your conscious ego doesn’t want to identify in itself.’
4. It’s an important aspect of healing because your shadow is a part of YOU! Therefore judging, rejecting, & running from your shadow for the rest of your life can manifest into dis-ease.
Working with me as your coach & guide through your shadow work gifts you time, resources & space for you to safely sit with the parts of yourself that your conscious ego has suppressed & denied. It allows you to get clear on what you’d like to breathe into once you’ve found what’s true for you.
